All of our teachers conduct a live recital for their students at least once per year in a convenient location. Recitals are optional for students but are an important opportunity to develop practice habits along with performance skills.
Serving neighborhoods across the Columbus community
Columbus is our flagship location and includes our largest concentration of private piano teachers, along with voice lessons and guitar lessons. Our service area generally ranges from Dublin and Powell in the northwest over to New Albany, and bordered on the south by Grove City and Pickerington. We staff our teachers heavily in areas with a high concentration of families, such as the northwest corridor of Hilliard, Dublin, Powell and Upper Arlington. Columbus music connections
While Columbus is known first and foremost for the Ohio State University Buckeyes, a closer look reveals a musical identity that may not be widely recognized or appreciated. The city’s musical heritage was largely dormant throughout the early 20th century, but by the mid and late 1900s Columbus was producing notable musicians like Nancy Wilson, Joe Walsh and Dwight Yoakam. Today, bands like Twenty One Pilots, Rascal Flatts and Saintseneca carry the torch in the Columbus music scene.
Columbus has become popular destination for the symphony, opera, touring Broadway shows and classical ensembles. Local musicians including some of our very own teachers can be found performing at venues across Columbus such as Brothers Drake, High Five, and Little Brothers, to name just a few.
